Referring Doctors

For most surgical procedures, a consultation is required. This allows you the opportunity to meet your Surgeon, obtain a diagnosis and hear a detailed explanation of your surgical procedure.

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to assist in providing a medical history and making important decisions regarding surgery and anesthesia. Consultations are conducted in a quiet, relaxed environment, and questions are encouraged and welcomed. You will be able to see your x-rays on a large presentation screen, which will assist in the explanation of your condition and surgery.

At your consultation, a thorough medical history will be taken. This information is essential in providing you with the safest recommendations for your oral surgical care.

In some instances, laboratory tests (blood tests, electrocardiograms, CT scans) may be ordered by your Surgeon, or you may be referred to your family physician, to facilitate your medical assessment.
